Died: 1828 in Corydon, Harrison County, IN

Burial: In his farm (unmarked grave). A memorial to him and his family is located in Cedar Hill cemetery outside Corydon, IN

Edward was born on a small farm about 15 miles outside the town of London around 1754. He was drafted in 1774 in the British Army and was sent to fight the Rebels. He was in a light cavalry unit as a lieutenant under Colonel Tarleton. Edward got discourage from the cruel treatment of the rebels and left the British Army. He enlisted in the Revolutionary Army and served as a lieutenant under Lafayette. He married Nancy Black in 1779. After the War, he resided in Virginia. From Virginia he moved to Mercer County, KY and around 1803 he purchased 700 acres of land near Corydon, Indiana. Edward lived on this farm and was buried there in 1828. There was no stone for his gravesite and the location is lost. A memorial to him and his family was placed in a cemetery in Corydon.
