William was born on the Williams farm in Moniteau County. He was the first child of Fidelio Williams and Judith Bennett. He married Lucy Ellen Stone in Moniteau county on Jan 9, 1876. William contacted tuberculosis and around 1895 the family moved from the farm to Jefferson City to seek medical help. He died in Jefferson City from the tuberculosis on 14 Apr 1900. He is buried in Enloe cemetery near his father and daughter, Olive.
